Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers,

On this last day of the year we know as 2022,

“Know you are beautiful, know that you’re loved and know that you’re held. Never forget that.”

I was met by a tall being clad in red scales along their arms and a headdress adorned with a burning bull at the third eye. They placed their long palms on either of my shoulders and bent down to look keenly into my eyes to tell me just that.

They then repeatedly asked, “Do you know that? Do you know that you're the most beautiful person here?”, until I repeated back, “Yes, I do.”

As 2023 approaches, I urge you to surround yourself by these exalted cheerleaders. You never know when they’ll show up, but you’ll know them when they do.

I hope these pieces provide the comfort that they’ve extended to me in their wisdom about humanness and the courage to brave entrances as we exit the harrowed journey of this past year.

In Triumphant Tears,

Remedy the Blue
